What suburb area outside of Victoria BC is least expensive?

I would like to move near Victoria BC, but will not be able to afford to live in Victoria. I would like to be able to live outside the city and commute to work. Any suggestions on surrounding areas?What suburb area outside of Victoria BC is least expensive?
Esquimalt or Sannich would be your best bet. They are both near downtown Victoria, way less expensive then other areas, and still very safe. I personally like Sannich better; I find there are more outdoor activities, rec centers, and beaches.

Esquimalt. It's right in Victoria, on the 'other' side of the Blue Bridge, only 5 minutes to downtown Victoria and is an older established community in the city. What suburb area outside of Victoria BC is least expensive?
Sooke is probably the cheapest, but it's quite a drive from Victoria. Try somewhere in the "Western Communities"-- Langford, Colwood, etc.
My folks live in Victoria...Try the Saanich Peninsula area. Stay away from Duncan. In the opposite direction, you could go toward Sooke.
