What is the cheapest most comfortable ferry between Seattle and Victoria?

My family needs to go between the main ferry station in Seattle to Victoria in Canada. What is the cheapest most comfortable ferry between Seattle and Victoria?
The Victoria Clipper is the only ferry running from Seattle to Victoria. And it's passenger only so once you get there you'd have to take cabs, buses, etc. It's also quite pricey. This time of year a round trip ticket's a $145 per person. You'll get to Victoria in about three hours.

Whenever I go to Victoria I take the ferry from Tsawwassen, BC - which does take cars. It's a beautiful ferry with a great restaurant at the stern that has an amazing buffet. You can dine and watch for whales and dolphins. Love it. This ferry costs $90 round trip and you'll pay under $20 each extra for passengers round trip. It takes about two and a half hours to drive from Seattle to Tsawwassen and the ferry takes an hour and a half. So this trip will only take you an hour more than leaving from Seattle AND you'll have your car so you'll save money on cab or bus fare. What is the cheapest most comfortable ferry between Seattle and Victoria?
if you know what time you want to take the ferry buy your ticket online beforehand. That reserves you a spot on the ferry.

I'd recommend taking a ferry to bainbridge island first and then driving to Port Angeles and taking the ferry there to Victoria...it's alot quicker.
